We covenant to work together in honesty, kindness and respect for each other as we carry out our elected responsibilities to do the business of this church to the best of our abilities. We are a religious community. Let us move forward in love.

At each monthly Board Meeting, the Trustees begin with the covenant above. We believe the covenant is a reminder of the work we must do and how we will do it. We attempt to meet the expectations of the seven Principles, which are the foundation of Unitarian Universalism.

The Board of Trustees (Google Doc) of UU Detroit is made up of spiritual seekers, who are dedicated and diverse members. At this time, there are 9 members on the Board who represent the church in terms of racial, employment, gender, and sexual diversity.

The meetings include reports from our committees and the minister, as well as new and old business. The meetings are focused, professional and mindful of the time. The board also holds yearly planning meetings to chart a course for the church. Current and Past Strategic Plans are below:
